WHOOHOO! it’s March Break again and this year why not join the fun at MARCH BREAK ART CAMP!
This is an exciting camp for us to plan, Winter is just about over and we can start getting excited for Spring. We get a lot of inspiration from this time of the year and use it when planning projects for this camp.
What we’ll explore…
Print making - studying Andy Warhol and his style of print making, colligraph print making, food printing (potatos).
Drawing - we can’t do them all, but we try to combine 2 lessons in either shapes and lines, light and shadow, still life, or landscape.
Acrylic - we apply our lessons in drawing to a project using this medium. Some of the projects have been; cityscapes, galaxies, abstract, still life, portraits.
Watercolour - just like above, but with watercolour! We’ve also studied Japanese art, water colour techniques using masking fluid and resistance tools.
Sculpture/sculpting - We look at creating landscapes using plasticine on canvas boards and understanding pottery basics with air dry clay.
Mixed Media - Applying all of the above to a fun project working towards understanding how each medium works with each other to create what we call “mixed media”.
