Winter Acrylic Series
4-Week Adult Art Class | Mondays 1–3 PM | Julie Glaude’s Art Space

Celebrate the charm of the winter season through vibrant acrylic painting. In this 4-week class, we’ll explore snowy landscapes, cozy interiors, winter florals, and moody skies — all while learning how to build texture, mix rich seasonal palettes, and capture the feeling of warmth within the chill of winter.

Each session will guide you step-by-step through techniques to help you develop confidence and personal style while bringing your own creative voice to life on canvas. Perfect for all skill levels, this class is a wonderful way to relax, create, and connect during the colder months.

You will provide your own supplies. This allows you to practice and work on your projects at home with the right tools and materials.

Supply List

Paint Colours (required)

• Titanium White (150ml, you may need to buy more along the way)

• Cadmium yellow ( tube of about 150ml)

• Cobalt blue (tube of about 150ml)

• Cadmium red (tube of about 150ml)

• Black (tube of about 150ml)

  Additional Colours( if you’d like to splurge)

• Phthalo blue

• Phthalo green

• Dioxazine purple

• Magenta

• Brown (burnt Sienna or Raw umber)

• Hot pink (my favourite strongly suggest this one)
  

  Tools

• 4 canvases size: 11”x14” - Value packs of 7 from Michael’s/DeSerres/or Above Ground work great!

• pencil (just regular HB)

• #1 round Nylon brush (smaller round brush for details)

• #6-8-10 round Nylon brush (a medium round brush, sizes vary depending on brand so if it looks too small get at least one bigger round brush)

• 1" flat brush Nylon brush

  • You are welcome to bring more brushes (the numbering does vary per company, as long as you have a small, medium and larger brush. Feel free to grab value packs of paint brushes, but make sure they are nylon.

• ¾ inch bristle brush ( this is a brush with harder or stiffer hair, the size can vary from my suggestion)

• Palette knife

• Paint palette (we strongly suggest paper plates easier for clean up)

• Water containers (2 yogurt or mason jars are great)

• Paper towel
