Drawing for Beginners: Exploring Organic Shapes

Wednesdays Sept.16-Nov.4th from 1pm-3pm

Course Overview:
Unlock your creative potential in this 8-week drawing course designed for beginners. Each 2-hour weekly session will guide you through the process of building precision and confidence in your drawings while focusing on organic shapes. Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a supportive, low-pressure environment where you can experiment freely with form, space, and technique.

What to Expect:
Throughout this course, you’ll explore the beauty of organic shapes—those naturally flowing, asymmetrical forms found in nature. From curved lines to irregular outlines, we’ll work on developing your ability to observe, replicate, and transform these shapes into dynamic compositions. By the end of the 8 weeks, you'll gain not only improved drawing skills but also a greater understanding of how to balance freedom and precision in your creative work.

Key Features:

  • Beginner-friendly: No prior drawing experience required.

  • Focus on organic shapes: Learn how to simplify complex forms and bring fluidity into your drawings.

  • Hands-on practice: Engage in both structured exercises and creative experiments.

  • Personalized guidance: Receive tailored feedback and encouragement to help you grow at your own pace.

  • Fun & supportive atmosphere: A relaxed, non-judgmental space for exploring your artistic side.

Course Structure:

  • Duration: 2 hours per week for 8 weeks

  • Class Format: Guided lessons with demonstrations, followed by individual practice and feedback

  • Materials: List to follow
