Each 2-hour weekly session will guide you through the process of building precision and confidence in your drawings while focusing on organic shapes. Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a supportive, low-pressure environment where you can experiment freely with form, space, and technique.
What to Expect:
Throughout this course, you’ll explore the beauty of organic shapes—those naturally flowing, asymmetrical forms found in nature. From curved lines to irregular outlines, we’ll work on developing your ability to observe, replicate, and transform these shapes into dynamic compositions. By the end of the 8 weeks, you'll gain not only improved drawing skills but also a greater understanding of how to balance freedom and precision in your creative work.

You will provide your own supplies. This allows you to practice and work on your projects at home with the right tools and materials.
Supply List
Graphite pencil set (4H, 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B)
White eraser and kneaded eraser
Compressed charcoals or conte, black (hard to soft)
Felt tip drawing pens 0.5 and 1.0. Recommend AP Micron or Sharpie
Small bottle of permanent black (india ink)
Set of chalk pastels (12-24). Recommend NuPastel or Faber-Castel
1 pad pastel paper (8x10 or larger) in assorted earth tones
1 pad white multimedia paper (8×10 or similar)
1 board (to tape your paper down too. It can be a Canvas board (11x14) from the dollar store/art store or a masonite/mdf board from the hardware store . As long as it’s bigger than your paper size.)
