Intermediate Drawing: Shapes in Nature
Adult Art Class
Designed for those with some drawing experience, this intermediate course invites students to slow down and look closely at the shapes and forms found in nature. Through guided projects, participants will build a small set of finished artworks while strengthening observational skills.
The class will focus on easy, practical pencil and colouring techniques, including value, texture, layering, and composition. Emphasis is placed on refining skills, developing confidence, and exploring personal style in a supportive and creative environment.
This course is ideal for artists who are comfortable with basic drawing and are ready to deepen their practice.
A thoughtful, hands-on exploration of drawing inspired by the natural world.Supply List:
Pencil (2H or HB) and white eraser
Watercolour or multimedia round brushes (sizes 5 and 8)
Black fine-tip pens (Micron recommended) in sizes 0.3, 0.5, and 1.0
Pad of multimedia paper (8x10 or larger)
Board to tape artwork on, and art or painter’s tape
