Get ready for a week of bizarre, curious, and wonderfully weird art! Our Weird Arts Summer Camp invites young artists to step outside the ordinary and explore art that bends reality, challenges perception, and makes you ask… why does that man have an apple for a head?
Throughout the week, campers will create imaginative projects inspired by optical illusions, surreal imagery, and avant-garde artists. Using colour theory, mixed media, and experimental techniques, students will explore how our brains perceive shapes, colours, and space—and how artists can cleverly use this to their advantage.
Why does a clock look like it’s melting?
Why does a colour appear orange when it’s actually grey?
How can art trick the eye and spark curiosity?
Campers will experiment with unusual materials, bold ideas, and unexpected combinations while learning that art doesn’t always have to make sense—it just has to make you think. This week is perfect for curious minds who love creativity with a twist.
Dates: July 6–10
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Ages: 6–13 years
A healthy, nut-free lunch and two snacks (snacks are not provided)
A refillable water bottle
Comfortable clothing that can get messy (aprons are provided, but accidents do happen!)
Sunscreen, a sun hat, and layers for changing weather
Tax not included
Due to limited space, make-up classes cannot be offered.
CANCELLATION POLICY : Once registered and paid, your spot will be saved for that week. If you cancel prior to 2 weeks before the start of the camp a 75% reimbursement will be granted. If cancelation happens within the two weeks prior to class, regrettably no refund will be given.
*Please note we may only give partial refunds/credit back in the event of emergencies only. This excludes sick days or no shows. Due to limited spaces and courses we cannot offer make up classes.
